If you like following traditions, then you
probably love giving flowers to your mother during Mother’s Day. In the US in 1907, Anna Jarvis started a
campaign to dedicate a special day for mothers. Anna’s mother died on May 9,
1905 and she swore that she would dedicate a special day for all mother –
whether they are alive or dead. Carnations were first used to celebrate
Mother’s day because it was Anna’s mother’s favorite flower and they grew it in
their garden. On this day, white carnations are brought to gravesites for dead
mothers. Red carnations (official Mother’s Day flowers) are presented to moms
together with their breakfast in bed. Carnations are abundantly available from
reputable flower
delivery Singapore.
